My mission is to help career weary people who are ready to leave corporate, say goodbye to having a boss and start their first business. What worries them is they are afraid they might run out of money, lose what they have worked so hard to accumulate so far and fail miserably, perhaps ruining their relationships. I’m an expert on this because I have lived the trials and tribulations, ups and downs over the last three decades while starting, building and running 20 businesses in nine different industries.
Those experiences enabled me to discover and create unique methods and techniques that make starting and running a successful business much easier and work virtually every time. Charlie has a year 30+ year history of successfully owning, building, running, and exiting 17 businesses spanning eight different industries. This wealth of experience has given him an understanding of the challenges and opportunities that exist for New Entrepreneurs as well as Business Owners who are striving for the next level of success. Charlie has the ability to tap the motivation of entrepreneurs and the potential of business ideas to facilitate growth and profitability, which in turn rewards the Business Owner and ensures on-going success in the future.
Charlie’s experience ranges from Start-Up through Exit Strategy from Management to General Management perspectives in industries such as wholesale, retail, professional services, sales and marketing. He has worked in a number of regions on the East Coast of the United States where Businesses have been under achieving and has grown them to their rightful place in the market.
He is an Innovative Business Leader with an impeccable track record of propelling growth and turnaround performance in small and mid-market companies across diverse industries. Strong financial and risk management acumen, and hands-on knowledge of team leadership principles were used to elevate performance in competitive environments, leading to the creation of multi-million dollar asset gains and building a $100M enterprise from start-up, with return on investment exceeding 170%.
Charlie brings a diversity of experience and understands what it is like to want to build a better future and security for the Business Owner and their family. With a passion for helping people achieve results in their businesses, he has chosen to pass his knowledge onto others and help them grow and succeed in their Business endeavors. He is now laser-beam focused on achieving his big, bold audacious Mission Statement…. “To measurably increase the success rate of ALL small U.S. businesses”.
Having the heart of a teacher, and now in mid-life, he wants to make that knowledge and experience available to as many people as possible for the lowest possible cost. To that end, he has spent the last 3 years building this on-line, self-guided course for new entrepreneurs and experienced business owners alike. This entrepreneurial portal is reinforced by his highly acclaimed new book for aspiring mid-life entrepreneurs, Say Goodbye To The Boss.

Charlie is still a Shareholder, Director and Board member in two successful and growing Companies which ensures he is completely up to date with current and relevant business practices. He lives with his wife in Raleigh, NC and is an avid follower of business trends. He enjoys boating, traveling and spending time with his 2 grandsons as a way of relaxing.
