Welcome –
“Everyone can tell you the Risk, an Entrepreneur can see the Reward.” – Robert Kiyosaki
Welcome to the Live in Entrepreneurial Freedom (LIEF) blog, a home for people who want to start their first business and learn to control their destiny. I’m Charlie Alexander. For the past 30+ years I have owned 17 businesses in 8 different industries. I have written a book and built an online educational program to share my experience and help fulfill my Big, Bold, Audacious Mission Statement – “To Measurably increase the SUCCESS rate of ALL small U.S. businesses”
The purpose of LIEF is to share methods of how to overcome and conquer small business start-up worries, while achieving personal goals and helping many others at the same time. In the battle against typical and ubiquitous fears, we focus on helping aspiring business owners manifest their Maturity of Thought and achieve individualized and sustainable business success.
All of the writing on the LIEF blog is presented freely with no outside advertising. If you’d like to support the program, please pass it on to someone who might be interested.
You can follow along by RSS, updates in your inbox, or just by checking in here at the site every day.

WHAT YOU’LL FIND HERE
I write about personal development and its correlation with successful business development, with the conviction that you don’t have to live your life the way other people do. I write about entrepreneurship and other outside the box business ideas, with the belief that the work we do should be both fun and meaningful.
At times, I’ll use events in the current business environment to illustrate their impact on small and medium size businesses. Sometimes even breaking down Macro Economic / World Events in a way that helps small business owners understand how to adjust, prepare, or avoid the pitfalls those events may cause the – often over looked – ‘little guy’.
You’ll also find information about how to create, develop, build, sustain and exit your business from a differing and more comprehensive perspective than most.
Promise –
Because business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs are multi-faceted, I don’t stay singularly focused on purely business topics. I choose to incorporate the many ‘personalities’ a successful business owner must possess. In the end, my writing ends up being part storytelling, part academic research, part personal experience. It’s a patchwork of inspirational stories, academic science, hard-earned wisdom and many other components of multi-decade learning.
The primary place that I share this information is through my blog and in the member Knowledge Center for Entrepreneurs. You can sign up below for the blog. You’ll only get information on how to conquer your fear of business start-up and running a successful company. Nothing annoying or unexpected.
I don’t claim to have all the answers and I still have more to learn, but I’m happy to share what I’ve learned along the way.

My Mission –
Business has been very good to me and I want to share that with you. I started this blog to help people all over the world overcome the fear of starting their first business – regardless of their age..!!
Although my teachings will work for people of all ages, my greatest passion lies in helping mid-life people crush the fears that often cripple the pursuit of lifelong dreams and to start their first business with massive confidence.
I want to help aspiring mid-life entrepreneurs help me achieve my Big, Bold Audacious Mission Statement – “To measurably increase the SUCCESS rate of ALL small U.S. businesses” – and, while we’re at it, let’s not just limit that to the United States…
